Sacristans |
To
prepare the altar and sanctuary for liturgical celebrations. |

Society |
To
clean the church, vacuum, polish brass and arrange flowers. |
Extraordinary
ministers of Holy Communion |
To
take Holy Communion to house-bound people and to the Harbison Care
facility in Moss Vale as well as the Warrigal Care facility in Bundanoon.
To help distribute Holy Communion at Mass. |
Parish
Choir |
To
provide music and singing for weekend Masses and liturgical celebrations
throughout the Parish. |
Liturgy
Committee |
To
plan and co-ordinate major liturgical events of the Parish. |
Catholic
Women's League |
Part
of an 8000 strong organisation which enables women to participate
more effectively in working for and building the Kingdom of God. CWL
promotes the spiritual, cultural, intellectual and social development
of women. CWL helps the Parish by raising funds for facilities around
the Parish. CWL also provides social contact by welcoming people at
Mass and providing hospitality at various Parish functions. |
St.
Vincent de Paul Conference |
To
support people in need in the local community by providing food, furniture,
home visits, help with power and phone bills. |
St.
Vincent de Paul Auxiliary |
To
maintain and staff the St. Vincent de Paul shop in Moss Vale which
sells quality second-hand clothing and goods.
To sell a range of pious goods and b a point of contact for people
in need. |
Intercessory
prayer group |
To pray
for people requiring or requesting prayers for various needs, for
example; sickness, enlightenment.
There are no meetings involved so this would suit house-bound as
well as any other parishioner. New pray-ers always welcome!
This is a practical aid to the Parish as many people have benefited
from the group prayers.

Support
group |
Volunteers
visit people in their homes, or hospital, provide meals, transport
and other support for people in need. |
Community
groups |
A
social group meeting at various times and venues for friendship and
support. |
Play
group |
Social
meeting and play sessions for parents and children aged 0-5. |
Children's
Liturgy |
For
children aged 3 to 7. The children leave Mass with the liturgy leaders
after the introductory rite and return for the offertory. During this
period they receive instruction on the Gospel at a level they can
understand. |
Home
Educators |
A
support group for Catholic families who choose to educate their children
at home. |
Dominican
Laity |
To
promote Dominican Sprituality among the group and the Parish. |
