TENTATIVE BOOKINGS
We can take a tentative booking for you and hold for 30 days.
It is very important to check with the parish office to ensure that your date is available before filling in the Wedding Booking Form and Memorandum of Understanding
Within a month of booking the Church, you are required to send the duly completed forms via email. Once these are received, we will email you our bank account details so the full payment can be made.
Your booking is AUTOMATICALLY CANCELLED if your form and payment are not returned within the required time.
If you have ticked or indicated on the booking form that you have been previously married, you must meet with the Parish Priest (or the Priest Celebrant you have asked) before a confirmed booking can be made.
CHURCH OFFERING
For St. Francis Xavier Church at Berrima, as this is a heritage listed church, we ask for a contribution of $1625.00 (this includes a Stipend for the Priest, $200 Bond and other related wedding preparation costs and general running and maintenance of the church.)
For the other Chuches in our Parish, we ask for a contribution of $1300.00 (this includes a Stipend for the Priest, $200 Bond and other related wedding preparation costs and general running and maintenance of the church.)
- All cheques are to be made payable to St Paul’s Parish.
- Direct Deposit is available.
WEDDING BOOKING FORMS
The Wedding Booking Form and Memorandum of Understanding must be completed and returned first. On receipt of these we will advise you of our bank account details so payment can be made.
Your booking will be confirmed when the Booking Form, Memorandum of Understanding is signed, and payment is received. A confirmation receipt will be posted to you.
If the forms and payment are not received 30 days after contacting the office with a tentative date, the date will no longer be reserved.
Once your wedding is confirmed, this does not give the couples the right to make demands. The fee is established to maintain the churches as no church within the Parish is less than 80 years old. The payments cover the constant ongoing maintenance costs. If something you propose is not permitted, please make sure you read the guidelines before objecting or trying to get the proposition reconsidered. Many people come back to get married in the Parish because they had previously attended a wedding that impressed them. This is a sacred moment and not a competition. Please contact the Parish office during office hours if you have any questions.
